Default Clear Offset plugin for ZProject - updated for 3.1

    grab.jpg

This little plug is for those who want to use the ZProject brush for sculpting or polypainting but don't want their work offset.

Simply line up your subtools and then press the button or use hotkey Ctrl+W to clear the action line.

    Installation

Unzip the zip file and place the .zsc file in your ZPlugs\ZStartup folder. Restart ZBrush and you should have a Clear Offset button in the Marcus Tools section of your ZPlugin palette.

Note: occasionally you may find the action line persists. Draw the line away from the center of your model and press the hotkey again.

I'll be interested to know if this helps those who were having offset problems with ZProject.

    September 14 2007: Updated for ZBrush 3.1
Note: to use Clear Offset with a hotkey, install the plugin and then assign the hotkey of your choice by Ctrl+clicking the ClearOffset button and then press the hotkey you wish to use.

    Cheers,

Default ClearOffset makes Zproject a lot more fun!!!

    Hooray !!

This plugin makes all my mapping dreams come true,I use it along with
Game master 770 's RecallInfo plugin and I can bake all of Zbrush3
crazy details from superhighresmodels in one super diffuse map!

I spent a whole evening trying to get the transpose line as small
as possible without knowing this life saving utility existed. What a fool I am,didn't even think about looking for a plugin to solve this issue!

Thanks Marcus!! it's guys like you that make all the frustrating aspects of Zb3 less heavy.(Although the good aspects are so completely 21st century that I know in my heart(and so does many) that when it'll be complete everyone will bow to the Z)

    Hi Marcus,

thank you for the script! Unfortunately, I can't seem to be able to get it to work... I always get this error message as soon as I pres the Clear Offset button:

    ZScript note:
Interface Item could not be found
    Brush:Std in [IsEnabled,Brush:Std]

after which the script exits or doesn't do anything (the offset doesn't go away). Any idea what' going on?

    Thanks, Foo
