A little departure for me: a largely modelled scene. I had a play with EZ’s new Make3D script… and got carried away! All that remains here of various gizmos that were created with this tool are in fact the stones - but then I needed somewhere to put them, thought of doing a close-up nature study, and so this image was born.
The cap of the Boletus mushroom was made by alpha-skinning, and the stipe from a deformed cylinder; both were painted using Texture Master. The moss and grass are all fibre brush.
As usual when I use layers, a fight eventually developed between me and the program; at one point I went to adjust the z-depth of a background layer, and the main layer just vanished off the palette! That’s new, I thought. Luckily I had saved and used markers, so little was lost.
