Ant Wip

Hi all!
Ok, so this is my real neewbie attempt to do something detailed.

The body was sculpted as a it´s own part, the head as one and the jaws as one. I´m going to detail it some more later.
Next up is the antennas and legs.

nice strat really like it! i like the jaws , eyes should be bigger and closer the the kind of nose area(i mean not that high on the head) unless those are not the eyes ^^ but the base for the antennas! but the whole thing is great!
did u use zspheres? or u made base meshes out of third party prog?

Hey Pooop! Thank´s for the comments.

Actually those are eyes and maby a bit small but the placement
is actually pretty accurate, i have a couple of very nice microscopic pictures
of the ant, front, side and top as reference.
The small round holes further down is where the antennas will go.

The jaws are made from a polycube and deformed a bit before sculpting.

The mesh was made from Zspheres as you can see by the picture below.

Thank´s aminuts! I´m going to really take time to build the legs and antennas.
It´s almost the only parts of the ant that there is much detail.
(if you don´t see it with an electrone microscope that is...)
