3d_Opacity and Flat_Canvas plugins, still work in Zbrush3

Of the 3 plug-ins I put up on the forum for Zbrush2, two still work in Zbrush3.
They are still useful, and don’t seem to show up without searching, due to differences between an older version of the Forum, and the current one. I can’t even edit my own thread which has a dead email address and still says “new”, but that’s another story.

Anyway, here are the plug-ins... [3d_Opacity](http://www.mediabakers.com/files/3d_Opacity.zip), and [Flat_Canvas](http://www.mediabakers.com/files/FlatCanvas.zip) Both have readme files, to help you along, and include the source code, for those learning zscript. :) :ex: Of the 2, Flat_Canvas is the most useful. [3d_Opacity](http://www.mediabakers.com/files/3d_Opacity.zip)[plug-in](http://www.mediabakers.com/files/3d_Opacity.zip) Adjusts the transparency of your 3d Tool while in Edit mode, without material adjustments, and without exiting Edit mode. Note: This method of transparency is limited to certain Materials Download 3d_Opacity plug-in [http://www.mediabakers.com/files/3d_Opacity.zip](http://www.mediabakers.com/files/3d_Opacity.zip) original 3d_Opacity thread [http://zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=4672](http://zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=4672) [Flat_Canvas plug-in](http://www.mediabakers.com/files/FlatCanvas.zip), for use with Projection Master Paints the Flat Color Material to the entire Canvas. Designed to be used with Projection Master with shaded option enabled. After you Drop your object, use Flat Canvas to remove any self-shading.

** (If you go into Projection Master, and then exit with Shading on and without even painting, you will get self-shading, and a seem at the screen edge. Using this technique removes this problem, and allows for very complex Textures to be baked.) **

Download Flat_Canvas plug-in [http://www.mediabakers.com/files/FlatCanvas.zip](http://www.mediabakers.com/files/FlatCanvas.zip) Tutorial script that demonstrates the plug-in being used. [http://zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=46459](http://zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=46459) original FlatCanvas thread [http://zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=4450](http://zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=4450) P.S. New to Zbrush, and un-familiar with plug-ins?? Unlike scripts, plug-ins don't show up at the bottom of the interface. They show up in the ZPlugin palette. They are also designed as controls to be re-positioned to other places in your interface.

yes! I used em both in Z2…glad to know they both are fine in z3!!

thanks gamemaster!

Thanks dear Gamemaster.
That transparency one is isteresting.
Only it doesn’t seem to affect appended SubTools separately: those are changed simulteneously.
I would like your plugin could alterate them subtools with various degree of trasparency.
