Nice work! The face has some emotion to it, and the eyes really seem to have something going on behind them. Very realistic looking skin, as well. My only criticism would be to break up the symmetry a bit in her head (I don't know if I've ever seen a perfectly symmetrical pinecone... or a perfectly symmetrical human face for that matter).
All in all, definatley nice work =] Looking forward to seeing the entire thing textured.
