    Default forest keeper

Long time no work with zbrush. I try to make a tree who will be the keeper of the forest. Here's where I am. It's rendered in max with vray. Crits are very welcome (I know there's a mark just upper and besides the cut part, it's just some textures adjustments to make).
The aim is to have something realistic but not too much and scary but not too much. It's for a child story with this character

I like A the best since it has the most variation and it feels the nicest on the eyes if you know what I mean...

I like B best, picture A seems to have a strong diagonal line following the tops of the trees that lead your eye out of the composition, B lets your eyes follow the direction of the path much better, which i asume is your intention. C is just a little too predictable for me. Just my humble opinion, hope it helps.

Thanks for your comments. Handlebar, I was more coming to A verson but what you said about the diagonal is very intersting. I didn't saw it. I saw one but not so strong in B version too. I think I'm gonna stay like version A for the moment but trying to break this diagonal. There will be other trees but "classic ones) and some depth. Hope it will works.

It's the direction of the cut down tree that is causing the problem if you reversed it so it so it falls diagonaly towards the path your eyes would naturaly be drawn into the composition. Great fan of your work btw.

Even I don't know if I will use zbrush anymore for this picture here are some updates. have spend many times on leaves, and you can see on first picture what I have in render. Then 2 very quick test of colors in compositiing.
