    Default Divebomb (Anteater Guy)

    Hello all.

I am building a large part of this character in the wonderful ZBrush so I figured I would post it on up over here.

The Character is an anteater who parachutes into those large African looking anthills to clear the way for other anteaters.

His skin was actually originally modeled with ZSpheres, then the mesh was brought into Max to add his accessories. I am still planning on adding a bunch more detail to the skin such as hair and defining the hands and feet a bit better.

    Thoughts...

    Thanks...

I am curious to know what the ants have in their defence?

Nice character concpet and model from that. Can't wait for the final lok just like that sketch. Does that contraption between his/her legs promote chaffing???

I'm loving the concept here. He has a sort of backwoods commando look to him, which is really funny.

At this early stage I don't want to make too many suggestions, since you are still obviously working out the details, but judging only on what you have so far, I would either widen the garment between his legs or fatten the legs up to come closer to the garment. This would mimic the concept sketch better and would keep from attracting attention to the fact that you can kind of see up his shorts, so to speak. Otherwise,

Wow.. I am stoked about all the kind words!!. Especially from some of the senior members such as Jason, Boozie and Seb.

Slosh.. I will probably take your advice on that. It is a super easy change, and you can see some negative space there...

Boozie... The ants are going down! This is no Disney flick...

    Really cool and funny concept.
I think the fold under the eyes that you have in the drawing misses in the model.
I think you should put it in there and since it gives a nice defenition of the start of the face and mouth.

    Update....

I finished most of the materials on the gun. Still need to model and mat the turtle shell on the top of the gun. Should be done in a day or 2.
