    Ok

Here is a breef outline of how this was acomplished. The moutain in the backgrond is modeled in ZBrush and droped into place some of the rocks are also modeled to up the detail. I can see that the newer levels of ZBrush will greatly reduce the steps reqierd to do this with projection master and so on. The tree line for the most part is painted as is the water and refglections. The secondary focuses of this picture are high res grass models places in various locations sparcly to control the way your eye focuses on the over all picture there by controling the over all effect.

I hope this explanation and the one in the revisited post will put the way these where made into focus for you, and most importantly end the useual stament i get of this isnt a painting its a photo. Photo quality reders for this type of subject mater are very easy to achive in ZBrush. Today unlike when i first strated with ZBrush there are many in this forum producing photo qualuty and photo realistic works on a regular basisso I should no long have to go through this BS of defending 1 ZBrush capabiluty and 2 myself with this its a photo crap.

As I stated I am in the middle of a move and am at present stoping in when i take a break and relax. I will after I am resettled do a compleat tutorieal on how to do this level of landscaping once I am settled and able to give it the time ZBrush and this comunuty deserve. The level of art talent here demands a proper tutorial and not a glossed over explanaition like this.

Vel, I think you may have misunderstood some of the comments...I don't believe anyone thought it was actually a photo or made from a photo. I think they were complimenting you on your ability to make it look photoreal. No need to defend your techniques, they are flawless. I can look closely at the picture and see that you worked hard on getting the details just right.

Have a cup of coffee and keep up the good work!

Another beautiful environment as usual. If the pic were a tad sharper, I might have believed it was a photograph. Keep up the good work.

If I were you I'd be looking for an industry job as an environment artist.

Moving out of San Fran are you crazy? jk. So where to? It better be just as cool.
