WOW. really nice work. I just love that squid. Is this all Zbrush work? Did you start with Zspheres?

The squid is wonderful! I like the frog, too. But the squid is perfect. Too bad I don't eat calamari; this might make some people hungry!!

    Hi! glad you like it!
Yes it's all Zbrush, I just added a little tweak in photoshop (contrast etc).
I started with Zspheres, sculpted and than added details in Projection Master. It's actually my first Zbrush, apart form the tutorials, so I was a bit nervous posting it

    Hi Monica.

    Regarding the frog:
    it's very funny!
I like your style.Reminds me a cartoon look.
But I think you shuold take a look to the fingers.

The squid has something that I can't explain...but I like it.I think it's the best pic of the tree.
Only, try to make a diffeent texture for the eyes(and a different shader) and for the suction cups.
You'll better show all the parts of this squiddy boy.

The hands has some more problem but I can't forget that's this your first ZB models. So I can say that with a few (probably LOT) of practice you'll reach great results!

It's all that I can say you...
    Keep up your nice style!

    Hi Matt!
thanks, glad you like the frog and the squid
It's an african bullfrog (pixie) and the fingers are more or less like that, but I made them uglier. I will work a bit more on the squid, too.
The hands are an attempt, will make something better soon
    Yep I'm from Italy
    cheers
    Monica

    Greetings lady!
Last evening I was working online and I casually found some pic that maybe could be useful for you.

I've also found a link that maybe could help you:

    Here's the link.

Regarding hands, this is a tutorial that you can found somewhere in this site,it's a hand modelling using Zspheres:

Hope you'll find more useful than me...

All for now,if I'll find something else,I'll post you.
    Bye bye lady.

Nice squiddie but I think the pose is a little bit off.

In the pics uploaded by Matt the spots on the squid look like Zbrush alphas a lot!

Another thing is that I noticed that you are quite active in the Cgtalk Zbrush forum too and I was wondering why is that forum so quiet, it seems there are 1-2 replies each day. Strange, considering the amount of posts here.

For the hands, there is a tutorial I really liked: " ZSphere Xres,Yres,Zres tutorial (sort of)" by bonecradle. It`s somewhere on page 3 in the tutorials forum. It`s not the sort of tutorial that makes you follow some steps and get a result but more about how things work, understanding the hidden stuff.

    Hi silvaticus!

    Thanks for your comments.
It's funny when you post stuff, you get completely different opinions on the same thing. Someone in another forum told me he loved the pose!
    aaargh.. it's confusing
the texture is very basic, just a quick job, it needs more work for sure. It's my first one!
About the Cgtalk forum, yeah I know... it's a tad boring there. I think the reason could be taht many people keep posting the same question over and over...maybe it needs more stickies? It happens the same in the modeling forum. I think I came across the same question about 5 times in a month or so.
The thing is that this forum is so much more specific and "for enthusiasts", so it's more lively.
Thanks for taking time helping me

    new_monster_frog.jpg Hi!
i got so many good suggestions here and on other forums I'm actually thinking to make a them all from scratch. So, for exercise and fun, I'm leaving this as they are, with some tweak, and then I'll make others.
This is an update for the cartoony frog. The leaf is Zspheres.
