I would drop a background in there, that black background doesn't do justice to the work you've put it into it thus far.

It's about freaking time you got top row, what is going on here? That took way too long... I guess since it's not a head, so it has to take longer.

Amazing work man, well done. One thing, if you want to replicate real marble you have to consider the limitations of the stone. I'm only a beginner in 3D, but I also carve marble, and the chains and laurel wreath simply couldnt (or wouldnt) be done in marble. They would break in a second if you managed to carve them. Also consider the works of the masters and youll see that large things need support, usually cleverly disguised (like the tree trunk supporting the right leg of Michelangelo's 'David')

david.jpg That leg is the centre of gravity, and the ankle joint alone could never have held up all those tons of marble.
Of course this is only if you want to give the appearance of a marble staue, otherwise, Fantastic work mate...Keep it up!

slashpot I agree with you about some complex parts for a marble sculpt as chains etc... but during the modeling I felt free working some impossible details enjoying what 3d tools offers us Really you have all reason about stone's limitations! I'll do one render without that details too Thanks for the comment mate!

it all looks realy amazing beside the palms on the guy, they look like bone hands rather than human palms, too rigid, they dont have the right look or size.

Amazing sculpt. My favorite part is the subtle comic book "burn hogarth" feel it possesses. The tiny bit of exaggeration and animation makes it that much more amazing to me.
