    Default Thai Painting on ZBrush

    ZB_test_sm.jpg

As I'm working on a web presence for one of the up coming Thai films, King Naresuan the movie. I couldn't resist doing some 2.5d painting last night.

I tested this session out with a Citiq tablet. Turned out ZBrush works very natural with Cintiq. The whole session took about 3 hours from start to finish from around midnight til 3 in the morning.

Most of the tools I use are normal brush and deco brush with ZAdd / material off. By varying the RGB intensity levels I was able to get sharp / semi transparent brush strokes I added in a few simple 3d objects like the bracelet and a small shiny ear ring-but didn't show up well. The rest was just pure 2d /2.5d fun with ZB. Toward the end I heavily used the intensity brush and some blur brush.

Because it's not a 3d model like most of the posts here. So not many images are available

Well man this is awesome work

This is the difference between a professional painter and a noob like me who tries to paint 2.5d in zbrush.
    Great work.

This is just plain awesome and Solid too Very nice and fits the site quite well. I went ahead and took a look at the movie trailer. It has to be one of the best productions I have seen from that area in a long time. Nice project and time well spent and yes. 5 stars all the way

Yes, beautiful. Also reminds me a little of Salma Hayak.

Thank you everybody for such nice comments.

wckedsunny: I've been trying to experiment with ZBrush in the 2d painting. It flow quite nicely especially with Wacom Intuos 3 or Cintiq.

LIQUIDSNEEK / Mr.Monster: it was a funfilled 3 hour session. As this piece is my past time fun, I tend to do it at night. And night time gives me a lot of concentration because it's very quiet and away from crowd.

Tartan: Yes. Indeed, I'm honor and proud that I and my team were appointed to develop its web presence. (My company is http://www.wecreategame.com) The film is about one of the most beloved Thai (Siam) King. The budget is said to be quite high as well.

TrapDoor: A friend of mine also said so. that the subject looks like Salma Hayak. (^_^) she's one hot actress.

Sebcesoir: Glad you like it. It means a lot to me coming from a master like you. Your works are also my inspirations

Here's the wall paper version a friend of mine requested at 1280 x 800 -widescreen. So I post it here as well. This version I removed the marking and the bracelets.

I liked the markings and the bracelet yet they didn't fit color wise. Too saturated and less smooth looking. Kind of bland now.

Very beautiful work. Zbrush has excellent 2d painting capabilities but few people use it. You are one of them.

Fantastic display of skill, looks great.

However the forhead mark looks wrong because it seems to have bad perspective which I find puzzling since you have got it perfect everywhere else.

This is a great painting, and is good as anything I've seen done with Painter. I would agree that the highlights on her knuckles looks a little too bright. But well done on reaching the Top Shelf. Would like to see more like this from you.
