Hi, here is a link to download a pdf how to switch between both programs and import a displacementmap.
basmazur.nl/upload/C4D>ZBrush>C4D.pdf
Do you use C4D a lot Baz?
What’s a lot… I’m still learning
I had some trouble im- and exporting .obj-files from C4D without using the Riptide plug. C4D is recalculating the pointnumbers.
In the material editor the sampling better can be set to alias1.
I’m just curious.
Bas … this is superb! Thank you.
Dankjewel Bas ,
This is really helpfull I kind of forgot to use the Store MT on my meshes and
thus getting bad displacement or not the detail of displacement that I
had in zBrush…

A lot is a place you park your car when you go shopping.
Just a little joke there, no seriously I tried the link & it doesn’t work. It doesn’t look like a normal url either. Could you post a new one?
the link is dead… (?)
Is there a Updated workflow from C4D R16 - Zbrush 4R7 - C4D R16.
Right now I am sclupting in Zbrush, ZRemeshing, Decimating to get the mesh low; to goto C4D. Then I take it to C4D and re-toplogize (using new R16 PolyPen) it and then bring that back into Zbrush to do the high rez displacement mapping. I am getting stuck on exporting this step back out of zbrush. I guess I need to learn more about UV - Master. Is this the correct workflow or is there a faster method? I want really high quality looking renders in C4D using displacement maps.
I guess this is what I want to do. https://youtu.be/llEK3Rzpi7k
I need to check out his re-topologies video.
