Mine too - and particularly apposite in view of today's events. It seems strange seeing such a cri de coeur in one of your typically bright and colourful paintings - but nicely done nonetheless.

Please don't bring politics into art. It offends people.

Some would say only true art is spawned of politics, but those are the ones who creates or view art for the wrong reasons.

Personally I feel art is that which is a creation of man (meaning human not male) whether concious or unconcious, and this extends to that of child conception, creation and birth. I never fall to this crap of what is art, because if one put their hands to something, no matter what it is, then that creation has come from their inner depths and thus has meaning, life and the right to be called art!!!

Sorry, I'm feeling rather phylosophical today

What we ask is that the ZBrush forum be kept on the topic of ZBrush, rather than politics. If you wish to discuss politics, the Community forum is available to you. But please be sensitive to other people's cultures and opinions.

It never was my intension to annoy anybody!

And I never wanted to discuss war!!

I feel sad, that some of you misunderstood
me and got angry even though I mentioned:
    "Sorry for this title"

When I did this picture, the title never
went out of my mind ... thats all.

Sorry to disagree Matthew, but I'm with Pilou. Art (both visual and other media) and politics have always been intimately linked - I cite Picasso's "Guernica" and Goya's Civil War paintings as a couple of instant and graphic examples. And Rage - I'm sorry you were offended, but for some of us the whole concept of this war is deeply offensive and repugnant - it is difficult to make comments on a painting with contemporary political overtones without showing where your sympathies lie. But I think all the remarks here were commendably moderate in tone, and should not really cause offense, whether or not you agree with the views stated. (I would agree wholeheartedly with Matthew's point if the remarks had been personally directed and/or abusive rants as I have seen recently on other art forums.)

And Jola, don't be upset. I'm sure Aurick's well-intentioned comments about keeping this forum a politics-free zone were directed at myself and others who had included political comments, and in no way at you for the content or title of your painting.

I do not find the art to be distasteful...art in all its forms contains within itself its own merit. However the political rehtoric that has taken place on this thread and on other threads recently on ZBC should be taken elsewhere...the community forum as was suggested. I hear enough of this talk in the newsmedia.
I hangout regularly at www.zbrushhangout.com, you can catch me there working on something quite regularly.
