Default First Zbrush model, Demon Lord

    Hi there,

first of all i would just like to say that this is an amazing applikation, iŽve only worked with it a week or so, but its so much fun and really easy to get along with.

I modelled a basic model in 3D max 8 and then exported it to Zbrush. Here i just went crazy with the details, but i think iŽll have to do it again because i forgot the right hand...

I also whant to make the textures in Zbrush and then later export the whole thing to max again and render it there.

    Hope you like it.

I like where you are going with this character. The only critique I have is that his arms are too short.

Very nice IMO.. Although I do have to say it looks like an edible chocolate thing that you get in your easter basket I am sure you are going to change that though as you add more detail. Great job though.

    Default Updates

So, back again from a holliday in Rome. I started with the texturing part and iam almost done. Sure, its like you never can finish of textures but this is it for now. Also i made a pose in max, the great thing is that after you made the pose you just export i back to Zbrush to make more adjustments and details, this way i can get the perfect look.

Any comments would be greatly appriciatet.

If you put a red tint on the texture. I did it in photoshop and I think it looks better with some colour.

Sort of a fun little project. I'm old so forgive me, it seems anime/manga inspired. Could use cripser detail in areas, but a overall a nice sculpt. Weird wings though.

I like the model, but I'm not crazy about the wings.
You definitely have a good grasp of zbrush though, especially for a first model. The great thing is that we always get better as time goes on. I remember when I started using (or trying to use)Zbrush. My results were nowhere near as good as yours.

    Thx guys,

yea i know the wings suck at this moment, they need more work and of course textures.

Heres a little update, i worked on the pose and gave him a weapon in the left hand, the weapon still needs to be finished though.

Iam also gonna make a bit more on the ground so that it dosent look so flat.

Hi! cool model youŽve done. Perhaps, if you create more hard edges to define the muscles will improve it. Just an opinion.

    Nice work!
the design is intersting (the wings and membrain being seperate)
    the colormap looks great!

not being a great artist or anything i rarely critique, but just as an observer IMO
specularity seems to be to big. (anyone have suggestions to fix this?)
    the arms look short.

I see this in my own 3Dart, something i have yet to control, and it's the wrong scale or something that just does not look right.
