Default Trying to get to grips with Zbrush

Well I created a little base mesh and then started to play around with the tools in zbrush. (i need to do some more research on actually adding detail to the skin. The skin is just some shader I found somewhere on these forums with a little bit of tweaking. Nothins serious. Just playing around.

Well kept at it with this image. I know the collar is kind of not right. I will learn ... I hope.

    Still plenty to go.

Great! Perhaps one of the toon shaders would look cool on this...

Andreseloy - It was a skin shader I found on these forums but I had to tweak them as they were too shiny and the colouring was not to my taste.

Tartan, Plakkie, Ai02 - Thanks for the positive comments. Any mistakes in this image are learning mistakes that I hope to put right in the next image I do. Leaving them in allows me to see where I went wrong as I attempt to progress with Zbrush.

Jason Belec - I think your right. Maybe the next image I will have a look at using a toon shader.

It is unlikely that I will do images that are photo real as I personally dont feel 'entertained' by reality. I get enough of that in my life. .

I will keep working on this 'learning image' and will post the results later.

    Cheers

Decided I wont carry on with this image. Learned enough from it so I will leave it as is with the mistakes etc left intact.

I played briefly with the fibre brush and although its not the best I am fairly happy with the result of this 'learning' image. Now to think what to do next.

    Fun picture, nicely done.

The first wip .. the mouth and eyes made me immediately think of Dubya. Could be a cool caricature just waiting to be unleashed.

If you only knew what the WIP files are named.

That similarity did kind of cross my mind and so from then on each file was named after him. I assure you it was unintentional.

    Cheers
