I been watching you work on this, nice to see somebody else doing Hellboy stuff in Zbrush. I like what you're doing with it, the gills are sweet, and I like what you did with the cheekbones. Have you seen the Abe concepts in the Hellboy-Movie art book? Worth taking a look at, they really differ from both the comic design and the final movie design. I actually thought the Abe redesign for the movie was really sweet, so elegant and refined. Looking forward to seeing what you do with textures.

Dig the new texture a lot more than the first go at it.
The area from lips to chest looks a little 'painterly' to me, but I think it's coming along quite nicely as a whole.

Great model. nice texture, but maybe lacking some spicy displacement map on the chest. Afterall it's some really nice loking piece. Good job!

I really like the last render the most.
Plus, i'd try to make different eyes.
    Like these:

    fisheyes.jpg

Now, they look too human, and it will add a alot
to the aqua creature feeling. Keep up the good work.

sizing the pupil to fish size doesn´t work (or i don´t like it) so, here is this, a little fish, a little frog and a little human. and now i´m thinking..what about a nice pair of ray ban sunglasses?

    abraXas,

I agree with your decision on the eyes, great choice! Like Abe, it's a wild combination of fish/amphibian/human. I really like the contrast of the bright green eyes against the overall form.

My only cc's at this point (and this is REAL nit-picky) would be to add a hit of underlying veins and a few dark spots here and there at the base of the neck flowing up to the back of the ears and up the spine and slightly overlapping the lower back then over the top of the skull, and few creeping around to the temples. Each area flowing much like the lines of your sculpt.

The blue green is just a touch blue, and the paint looks a little too "splattered" down on the neck and shoulders. Lastly, I would bring a touch of pink back into the upper lips just to tie in with the gills and the secondary eyelids.

    Well done! You did it!

    Cheers, m8
