Default Insomnia and some ZBrush fun (second model added)

Days ago I posted a generic model I'm working on: http://www.pixolator.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=32288

So, during the entire night, in company of a headache and insomnia (no beers in my fridge!), I decided to have some fun with ZBrush, using my generic model head as base for this guy. I had no time to add details, textures, alphas and stuff. The model is an idealization, since I used some multiple references but I'm not following any specific one.

Base model in Maya, all the additional modeling and rendering in ZBrush, comp in Photoshop:

Now I'll try have some rest... if not, maybe I can work in another model

Insominias a bitch isn't it? I've been an insomniac for years although the lat month its realy got bad (2 hours sleep a night ). Zbrush is great for help to fil in those lonley hours when no bugger else in the world seems to be awake. Maybe we should start an insomniac Zbrushers club.

There's some really good form to that model, for some reason I imagine him with a questioning expression..... I'd love to see where you take this.

    jesus bong,
I saw some of your models/textures and you are doing a great job man! Thanks for your comment.

    DarthWayne,
hey, this club sounds like a good idea
I'm working in a new model and will keep working during the night. So, can I be member #1 of this club?

    VVDFX,
    thanks

    Zmith[21],
I use inflat tool just for certain things, like for the lips, wrinkles or to approximate two parts in a natural way, eyelids area for example. This, of course, for a model like this one. If I'm going for a creature creation or an older man then I'll probably use a lot of inflat tool to define muscles, wrinkles and stuff. I almost don't use pinch tool.

Ok, a new model is coming next morning

haha you should not sleep more often Antropus!

I like this guy...hope ya find a use for him.

Insomnia club sounds like a good idea, I think I could be payed off to let ya be numero uno but will definitely have to duke it out with Wayne for numero dos. I think I got probably an extra 20 years on him tho...that oughta help...maybe.

    aminuts,
ok, I'm the founder of "Z-insomniac Society" LOL

    LIQUIDSNEEK,
    thanks man.

Below is the new model I worked this night, my first attempt to create an asian girl (I know... lot's of asian models around so I had to make one too :P). That was a good exercise to test the base model, because it's another gender, race and age. I also attached some images from Maya's viewport showing how the models looks under a 60mm lens:

Muy buen trabajo antropus, sólo tengo una pequeña crítica no crees que los rostros humanos deben de tener un poco de variaciones osea que no sean tan simétricos, se que no soy nadie para decirte eso, creo que eres un gran artista, gracias a tu tutorial del como texturizar un rostro y el material de piel hice mi primer trabajo en zbrush que por cierto me gustaría que lo vieras. Espero que hayas entendido lo que escribi.

Far from that but thanks Jim

    Mausan,
yeah, I agree with you. Both models are wip for now and I'll add some asymmetry at the end
    Thanks!
