Ummm... Don't get me wrong, but if I was Jordu I would be pissed. I don't want to come across as an ass but, did you contact him about doing it?

Lets say I am Jordu. If you completely copied it down perfectly and gave the proper credit I would be okay. You kind of modified it and changed it. I would be angry because you made my creation into your own.

Back to being me... I think you executed it well, I would loose the snot. Other than that it is a pretty good representation. The nose and forehead are off. Still good though.

    Nice job, ripoff.

I agree that my words came across as harsh but I was just saying that I would never want people to copy my work. That's just me.

hamburgler, If I where Jordu I would be very Honered that someone liked my work enough to do a study of one of my works.

Jordu is an amazing designer and sculptor, in my opinion one of the BEST designers in the industry.

As an artist, I use others work as inspiration, and I know alot of people who like to try and copy a piece. this can improve your skills and help your eye see form much better. some coppy real people, actors, or other Art. but it will all help you if you really try and coppy something. it will also teach you how important refrence is, looking at pictures and coppying what you see is very important. if its the whole piece your coppying or just a certin fold in the skin its important to coppy these things and make them look real.
creativity can come later and expand on your base knowledge of anatomy and form.

saying that, this is an excellent representation of that, and he obviously captured the feel of the sculpture in his Model and that was the goal. then by puting his own "twist" on it gave him another nice little study on his creative aspect of NOT coppying something every squar inch.

I dont think copying someones work is something you should do all the time, but it is a good study and is good for what its worth.
He obviously has talent because not many can do this.

onto my opinion on the model, I think its very well done. the eyes are beautifull and the material you used is great!

hope to see more things from you, and your own ideas as well

No I am not trying to get anybodies goat... I am an artist myself. Before somebody gets on my case about not posting work of my own and such, I'll tell you that just because I haven't mastered a desired medium doesn't mean i don't know what looks good.

I have do have artistic knowledge, but not in Z Brush, so if you want to consider me a spectator (for now), fine. So be it. I have worked with Z brush a few times and let me tell you that it is very intricate. I respect most of you guys on here.

I find it interesting that someone who choses a nickname of a thief would accuse another of the same.

Alan.....you stated both your intention and gave credit and you honored the original not only by doing it well but by adding a little of yourself to the creation in your study. You sir can sleep well and count yourself amongst good company.

I'm getting that sinking feeling from his humor that hamburgler is infact noneother than jordu himself.

perhaps he should post some work and prove me wrong.
Afterall...we know from a previous post that he has seen this thread....
