Love the robot. He's really cool

well if that poor snake is like the one that tried to eat the alligator on the news then exploded.....(well ruptured...but either way it had to hurt) ...I think he's got more to worry about than the robot!!
is he animated?

Nice render.
Did you do all of the robot modeling in ZBrush, or did you do the basic form of it elsewhere? I'm about to do a bunch of mech work, and was toying around with how to approach it ...

Snake's mine, Bot's from the Web. Render in XSI. Mech stuff in ZBrush is terrible IMHO. Takes a fraction of the time in a regular modeler. But things like the snake take ages in the other progs. However, without the MarkerMaster teh snake won't be there. It's a ZSphere snake. To align the ZSphere's around the robot I had to be able to rotate both together.... Only with MarkMaster!

Yea, I figured it would be a pain to model the 'bots in Z.
I really need to spend some time and toy around with more plugins. I'm still new to ZBrush so I'm still in awe of just the base app.

Thanks for the comments. The snake was a non trivial experiment for me... To model a ZSphere object around an existing model in the scene is challenging.
The Marker Master Plugin is making this less painfull. First I tilted the scene without the roof in place to a top view position. In that perspective I modeled the ZSnake with all the ZSpheres into position. Then I turned the whole setup using the marker master group function to the side. Thank god for shift rotate... then I pulled the spheres into their vertical positions. Another adjustment like that from the front did the job. Then I saved the snake tool itself. Loded it again and puffed it up and painted it. This Method enables ZSphere modeling around an existing geometry in a way I could not imagine before the Marker Master was available from Marcus.
The ability to move a complex scene around and then being able to edit it's components freely is just fantastic. Still a bit tedious compared to other simple modelers but for organic stuff hard to match anywhere else.
Here's a pic from the sideview in an early stage:
