    Default Nurenda (woman head)

Back to my first love (not Nurenda, but character modeling!).

Here's Nurenda. Traditional technique, 7 levels of subdivision. Zbrush rendering.sculpt.jpg

    And here's a photomix of Nurenda's face.
100% zbrush rendering for the face.
Color adjust and hairs tweaking in photoshop.

Wow Sebcesoir! Really nice work! I especiallu like the offset in the composition you have her in, with the offset head. Great sculpting!

Great modeling and texturing! That color render was done in ZBrush?! That's fantastic, I didn't know Zbrush could render that well. That is the most realistic skin I think I've seen in ZBrush, plus the shirt....Wow!

I'm practicing with Sokar shaders/lighting(in the hand below) which are very helpfull but what I did can't compete. The skin on your model takes it further than I've seen in ZBrush. The cheeks, the forehead...amazing!

This is the single most amazing piece of modelling I've ever seen. I can't believe you got this render out of zbrush, omg. Seb, can I ask how you went about texturing the shirt?

pesto- it would appear to me that the shirt and most of the hair isn't zbrush...but part of a photo that's been composited (correct me if i'm wrong)...via the techniques demonstrated by the multitalented bas mazur in this link:

or something similar by this recent thread of breuer:

My congratulations sir!!! Am totally blown away.
Ranks with "Picasso" as one of my favorites.

Edit: if anyone in the future ever asks me why I try
to learn this, I will point to this image as the reason.

    Hi,

Firstly let me say I am very impressed by your work, it really is something else. I was wondering if I could ask you what type of wacom tablet you use. I am COMPLETELY new to Zbrush and would like to hear it from someone whose work I admire. I hear the Cintiq series is rather good, but they are extremely pricey. Is it possible to get amazing results with something less pricey like an Intuos3?

    Cheers

    Hello cecily, here's my tablet:

a simple wacom graphire. I think its a 6x8... Not cheap, but maybe once of the less expensive of the wacoml series...
I don't think you need an expesnive wacom, almost as beginner...
I've been doing great stuff with a 10 years old wacom...

The only difference is the sensitivity, but nowadays, even the graphire is extremely reliable and efficient...
