i have just recently started learning zbrush, and some thing si find helpful (if you are not already doing them) is to use the edge loop funciont on your lowest poly model to define actual loops for eyes and mouths and noses, it will make the shaping of your mesh much easier even at lower division levels, also you seem to be getting that lumpy putty look thats common in zbrush, i've found this is usualy from trying to define actual mass or large areas while it too high of a division level, any time you want to change the height of a brow or raise a cheek out, drop back down to the lowest posile level you can in order to get that shape defined,

also when at high levels your smooth brush hardly works at all on larger areas, so when smoothing out problem areas, i drop down sever div levels, and smoth the area, then step up one, smooth again, step up and smooth again, to get it all smooth

again good work, looking foreward to seeing more

    Rhinokey,

I know exactly what you mean about the division levels

This character is actually one of my very first characters i did in Zbrush.
I just didn't know about that problem at that time while i was modeling it and i have recently learnt more about that part while testing and reading tutes

I only wanted to mess with him again and try different things on texturing. Instead of leaving it behind

I've only been using Zbrush for about 5-6wks now so, i guess there's still a lot more to learn

Thanks a lot for pinpointing that mistake and for the comments
    I really appreciate it

    Cheers!

    Kevin

    Hello everyone,

After a year away from Zbrush due to work i have been motivated again after seeing all those wonderful works on the forum.

I started playing around with this mesh i got from nickz http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/sho...8&page=1&pp=30

and came up with this dude. Just thought i would add him with all my other doodles
