    thanx for the vid tutorial...
I was able to follow everything correctly; however, one thing snags me..
the curve adjustments to the bump map. Is it to increase the contrast?

    WOW...
Numse, I just read the tut on this page.
And just was wondering if you tried using the displacement map like he/she did in this tut. (as the dispmap and bumpmap)

Just checked it out! Was exactly what I needed. Wooohooo, for the first time starting to see a bit of detail,... what a relief. Always got good displacement but that was it. Tested out around the eye here and the scar and was pretty happy,... now onto the rest. Throwing the displacement map into the bump in the sssfastskin discoloured the brow ridges (they stick out pretty far as it is) but that is prolly a question of tweaking. Also areas with few quads tend to band a bit even with blur at 0.01.

Ozone,... thanx for the link man!
Numse thanx for the vid will check it out tommorow. Bump is definitly the way to go!

    Cheers Chris.

Fantastic tutorial. However, I noticed your model was not closed and had holes. Doesn't this cause problems with ZBrush? I also noticed that you didn't use Multi Displacement. Why didn't you use it for its 32 bit images?

And why do you use both a bump and displacement map when a high resolution displacment map does both? Is there a large performance hit?
