    Default Typical Vilain

This morning I really wanted to work with ZBrush (Zaddiction), but I also had work to do. I had to do some images of a bad guy character, so I thought: Hmm, what if I risk my job, and instead of going with the usual and tried way of sketching, I use ZBrush to visualize the character, with no sketch or any preconception.

So I went right on, and started building ZSpheres, realizing the character while working. The result was very quick and natural. The whole process took about two hours. OK, the sketches would have taken me less time, but with this process I have a much more fleshed out version of the character.

ZBrush is the only software I use that makes me get up and do a victory dance every once in a while.

Very nice! Now, as you can pose your villain quickly, would you still be quicker sketching when you would have to re-draw him in other poses?

The Zspheres are like a "wooden mannequin", it's after that a little more complicated, because it's like real sculpture, when you refine the "wood model"
It's depend of your artist's skill
Anyway you can make with Zbrush crazzy thing
    It's a very addict prog!

    Default Yet, another character sketch

Using the same technique. The process becomes faster and faster. ZBrush has become a part of my sketching workflow by now.

Psygnosis, it took me about 3 months to be familiar enoughe with ZBrush, so that I can use it not only creatively but also efficiently. Sorry for the delayed answer; It was a 3 day weekend holiday here in Greece, and I took full advantage of it (spending all of the time at the beach ).

Frenchy, yes, BG is for background. Your wooden mannequin paradigm is very much to the point. This is how I percieve ZSpheres too.
