    Hi Giantsun,

Cool modeling but to me the arms and legs are too short (especialy the legs)

It looks like a shortening view.

    Keep going,

Looking good .. loads of detail. I think what's throwing me is the top of the chest .. it looks like solid ribcage all the way up to his armpits. If you dig in there a bit to define the muscles he'll look more in proportion. But I'm sure you know that already. What are your plans for the model?

Coming on nice here are a few things I would amend.

    1) forarms longer and bigger and hands bigger.
    2) Legs need to be much longer.

I would like to see the back and side pics also.

It took me a fair while to get mine looking right and still has loads of work to be done.

Going for better proportions, shorter upper body, bigger hands, longer arms and legs...will continue to try to improve on details, pay no attention to the weird hair. Crits & tips welcomed.

Still looks a bit misproportioned. What screen resolution are you using? Maybe your models are appearing elongated on your screen?

If you've never looked at body proportions before, you should pop down your local book store and see what they've got in the Art Theory section. All you want is a beginner's book on drawing the human body, because that will show the classic 'canons' .. proportions based on the distance between scalp and chin. I've put links to a couple of small versions below. Good luck!
