    Default Hands WIP

Spent a day modelling a hand in ZB and rigging it in Poser. Thought I'd show what I've done so far, before I venture into Projection Master. Think I need to twist the thumb round a bit and some of the fingers look a little unnatural, so more work needed yet.

Quick question .. the arm is hollow. Is there an easy way to cap it? Cheers.

Default Hi Moochie good hands in your handsĦĦĦ

I think that if you make an arm very short with zsphere and the skkined you can add the hand mesh and fill itĦ

    Hey Moochie,

cool hand you*ve created - i like the expression and the overall
proportions alot! Some things are missing but you*re in progress...
i would like to see your reference - are you left handed?

...maybe you should add some alien nails - so you*ll get some more

I'm by far an expert, but the reason your arm is hollow is because your root sphere is at the end of the arm. Just had a sphere to that and voilla!

However if he adds a sphere to his detailed hand zsphere model.....all detailing would be lost.

so a solution for future hands perhaps

Thanks all .. the hand was just a one-off for this picture http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=24712
I was rather pleased with the way the hand looked, so I posted it. Had a few goes since .. I'm aiming for a really simple, low low poly hand I can pose in Poser, then finish in ZB. You know .. just the basic shape. Haven't quite got it right yet, but it's all good experience. Getting the thumb to bend properly is proving the most difficult aspect.

The arm is hollow cos I messed around with the mesh in Carrara . I'm right handed and used my left as reference .. it got mirrored when I imported the obj into ZB.
