Hi cosmic*f00l*, ilusiondigital, and Pilou. I wanted to get in some work on this tonight, but got caught up in a 3 Player Xbox Tournament, (Godzilla-Save the Earth), but I'll be up early tomorrow. Gotta watch: 'Dragons a Fantasy Made Real' on Animal Planet tonight. 50.

    Default What's the Story?

Greetings Gary and everyone, here is the finished piece. Look at the picture carefully,...search for clues,....and tell me what happened. Keep in mind classic B-Monster movies. A little knowledge of Monster Movie Law will help. What's the Story?

They never said why swimming wasn't allowed, but when you tell a young person not to do something they do it anyways. Today was no exception to that rule. The warnings were posted, but ignored.

Sheriff Earle passed by this area on a daily basis as part of his regular route. There had been complaints lately of missing pets and a missing persons report had been filed. Noticing the music playing coming from the dock, he decided to investigate. He stepped from his patrol car and headed toward the aging platform. Earle noticed a plate of food sitting there. A few of the fries had been eaten, but that lucious burger had not been touched. He had not had his lunch yet. Stereotypical of a country lawman, middle aged and overweight he snagged one of the fries. "Not too bad," he thought to himself.

With all the complaints he had recieved of late with regards to the cove, he thought it in the public's best interest to once again post another sign. Putting a bit of a drama into his new sign, he was just going thru the motions posting another warning. He knew the kids would ignore it, but still he had a job to do.

He went back to the patrol car and retrieved this new sign and a hammer to drive it into the bottom by the docks. Hopefully this one would last longer than that last he had planted by the docks.

Earle glanced down at the cooling burger and fries....His stomach rumbled a bit in anticipation of filching the abandoned meal. Earle grasped the pole of the sign and pushed it into the soft bottom that laid a few feet below the suface. When he could manually push no more he grabbed his hammer to pummel the sign a few more inches deeper into the quagmire. Wiping the sweat from his face he sat his hammer down and reached for the abandoned lunch.

Something suddenly jarred the dock. Earle stumbled forward, balancing on tip toes, he tried to catch his balance. Another thud against the dock thrust him forward into the air.

A sudden explosion of water sprayed into the air, as a long green tentacle thrust out of the water with the speed of a striking rattlesnake and encircled Earle's flying body before he had a chance to hit the water's surface. The initial embrace of the rancid smelling armature flipped Earle's sheriff's badge from his shirt. It landed on the dock and spun on one of it's points before coming to rest on its side.

The music continued to blare on the old radio as if nothing was wrong. The sheriff was instantly dragged below the surface. A cloud of mud and blood was now stirring about in the water. A few bubbles managed to escape Earle's throat as he was drawn into his captor's gaping mouth parts.

Another tentacle sprang from the water and wrapped itself around Earle's new sign. The creature either wanted a closer look at the sign as a dinner menu or treated it as an invasion of it's privacy. Nothing would stand in the way of it's hunger. The sign snapped midway down it's pole and was waved around in protest before also being dragged down into the blood and mud stained waters of Monster's Cover.
