    Question zbrush

    Hi there

    I saw a couple of guys talking about zbrush in another forum. About texture etc.
    I'm new at zbrush.
    But i have this model in 3dsmax i wont to texture.. can zbrush be to any help to me? =)
    can i import the model and paint right to it?

    Yes, you can. You would have to convert the model to either a .dxf or .obj file format first, since those are the two import formats that ZBrush recognizes. The TextureMaster Zscript would also be ideal for what you are trying to do.

    hmm.. and when i'm done i can take it back to 3dsmax with the texture?

    Yes, of course you'd have to convert it back to 3D studio format. Although I don't know if 3d studio can import .obj or .dxf files on its own.

    Btw, cant the demo version ( 1.23b ) import?
    That buttom is dark to me and i cant use it =\

    Incidentally, it is the OBJ format that you want, since DXF does not support UV mapping and is therefore no good for texturing.

    To see how TextureMaster works with an imported OBJ, run the tutorial. It uses a model that was created by DAZ and has been converted to the native ZBrush format so that the demo can use it.

    You'll need some Max plugins to export/import in OBJ format. Fortunately those plug-ins are free and can be found here
