    I like your little experiment!

It's always good to take a break and play....it's how you get some cool ideas for your project or a new one.

I do hope you continue your head in the original though! You really are doing a good job on it!! But I do understand the need to walk away and play!!

aminuts, yes, I'll continue, be sure

Ok, this is a very-very-very quick test - I want to try to combine natural skin shader and that hot-stone shader.

Bas Mazur - glad you like it

And here is another "sketch" of my M&S idea (very quick also and heads had same expressions etc) But first I want to work really hard on head real textures and expressions these days, so any c&c on everything is more then welcome

if that is where ya wanna go.....

a suggestion....right now I don't see the "torn self", i see twins basically.

I would mirror one so they face same yet opposite directions and connect them so they seem to be one yet pulling away from each other in a tug of war. I would use the inner image you pointed to as part of the background but on a grander scale above and inbetween the two. Also I would make one look more "angelic" and the other more "devilish" or some such thing so that you would get the idea they are the same yet two different sides of a double headed coin.

Or something like that anyways....keep playing!!

I agree with you and I said that there is only a concept and 2 copies of same head now I'll do different textures and expressions for each. And all that details are made in 5 minutes, I'll do it much better later.

But I can see that you don't like it too much

I thought about mirror them..will try.

now back to the head itself, working on textures.

Mr micro26 - as you wish

here is some more work on textures... And I also tried "Auto levels" and "Brightness-contrast" functions of my 2d editor..and I like the result!
Now working on top of the head.

i think the chin is a bit lower but maybe its the angle. The eyeballs i would make them a little bigger so theres no gap on the outer corners.Have u tryied using the same shader with different specularities? Its in antropus picasso tutorial.Great tut
Love those wrinkles and skin pores. The texturing is superb
