Thanks for the compliments my friends,
It is good to be active again,
My long hiatus was brought on by Pertussis a.k.a Whoophing Cough... I'm glad to be over it!
This image was a simple composition and render in Z2... the sculpture is my first stab at modeling in Silo... I needed a good base mesh modeler to accompany Z2 and Silo certainly fits the bill. (At least until the next free upgrade from Ofer and the Pixologic team!)
Here is a color version and a setup image in case anyone wants to know how I did this.
Only Material editor and lighting tricks to mimic the starfield.
The strange paterns and lightning were done in Photoshop.
