my what big ears you have pluto!

gotta love that mat from Jantim eh?

here's a tip for you on this eve of eve's. I believe it was ron harris but not positive who had posted up a light called Waxlight.....i think the one I have is waxlight3........it is or works great with jantim's red paint material.

if you don't have it or can't find it....let me know and I will send it to ya. you might have to tweak the intensity a bit but i am loving this light set up for that mat.

your wish is my command....keep an eye out.

another tip, thanks to Meats.....is that this material only gets better the higher the res you render it at.

if you don't have much ram, thats ok....here is what i used to do with my dino computer......set up your scene or obj or whatever.

save it of course then at the low poly version throw Jantim's mat in to see if it's close to how you want it, and lighting set up too.

save everything...lights any tweaks to the material and the tool if not already saved, other layers etc.

now close zbrush, if you have a ram cleaner use that, then restart zbrush, set your doc to 4096x4096 and load up your goodies, render all at low res to check it out.

now up the rays in teh light menu to 175-250 depending on your ram and computer, and up your subdlevels so everything is smooth and all detail is available, now best render.
it's pretty amazing how much better that mat looks then.

    hi,

you will have to play with the intensity and maybe adding or moving lights....just a bit and of course adding rays ups the res.....have fun experimenting!

I was thinking this light was from Ron Harris but it might be from Polaris, I've been racking my brain on this so as to give credit where credit is due but I lost alot of my notes when switching stuff to new computer.

If these lights are yours....whoever you are.....please stand up and be counted!!

haha that last one looks like someone broke into King Tut's tomb only to find the gold was gold plating which someone stole and somehow the remaining metal fused with his mummy.
