Here is my latest personal project.

Sculpted in Zbrush, model in Max, Details displace using texturing.xyz, rest is hand painted. Used Ornatrix for the hair and fur, and vray for the render !

Looks stunning! So much character! Was it painted with polypaint or substance/mari? Well done :wink:

No I used Mari for the texturing ! ( some substance to get some dirt / edges map quickly, then used them in mari as a mask )

Incredible work! I love how you textured his teeth. Petrov is great and I think you did a wonderful rendition of “Mr. Gnome”, and in your own way. Very cool!
You said hand-painted in Mari and created dirt masks from Substance for textures? Did you predetermine that workflow or played around till you got a good look?

Basically, I like to use smart mask to have a good base for the edge wear .For example, on this project I used this for the leather . It’s pretty usefull also when I have to deal with hard surface. For the organic part, I usually just do everything in Mari ( even when I use textures to project ).
