I’m getting hard lines in my normal map that I don’t see in my high res mesh. Its very smooth but its like the base level geo is projecting into my normal map. What causes this and how do I fix it? See image below.
A similar effect appears when you switch off Snormals, that should be ON by default
In other cases it can happen if the UVs are rotated and you could try avoid it with cycle UVs
