            [![MNC-Creaturama.jpg|540x306](upload://4zzsqY9Ll33YmLH67rZiXuPPbqF.jpeg)]

:small_orange_diamond:Okay folks, its time to dust off the skills and get things pumping again. We are going to try and help everyone with their problem areas and the subject is in preparation for the coming halloween challenge in October.

We will be working on everything and anything that needs polishing so your halloween pics can be uber! Zspheres, projection master displacement and/or texturing…you name it. Check back to this post for links to other thread, inspiration, zscripts, or whatever else helps to understand how to get the job done.

:small_orange_diamond:Native Zbrush models or low poly imports! Thats right. We will also allow imports to see what you all can do to them with Z.

:small_orange_diamond:Wireframes, progression Modeling, and/or screenshots of your progress. This helps others to see workflow. Models, ZScripts, and other support materials are always welcome.

:small_orange_diamond:Time Limit is the month of September. Remember, this is prep for Halloween! =)

:small_orange_diamond:Nobody is too good or not good enough. This is open to everyone.

:small_orange_diamond: Add a [Gallery Entry] text below your gallery entry.

Don’t forget, if you wish to provide support material, by all means, upload zscripts, materials lighting setups or whatever you feel will help others.

I finished my model but i now ofcourse will have to texture it…
its my first model i am seriously working on. its 100% z-brush.
i was wondering what u guys think of it so far.
here is the new update.

alienmodelbymindsculptor2.JPG

PS i left the hair bit for what it is right now…maybe ill include some in my texture later ,but first i guess i need some practise on hair.
ill keep updating as the model progresses so i can see the improvements (hopefully  ) and i thought it might be nice for u guys to see as well.
please give me some comment on my model since it is my first, comments also help a lot to keep me inspired.

ron m thanx anyways for the tip i read your tutorial, pretty handy!!

Modeled in around 1 hour, low poly base mesh imported from max.

Really nice entries guys. I will make a script on how I made this model’s hair if you are interested in this type of approach.

Then there is the fur shader which does its magic during best render.

This is a second option…let me know.

Great shader, Really great,
I’d be interested in your technique for the hair

Awesome! I think everyone would benefit from both hair tut and shader. Vey cool ideas.

Very nice character.

Wowzah! Some great entries so far! I really like the wolf and zombie. Would be nice to see them in AA Half mode to get rid of the rough, unsmoothed edges.

[Mahlikus] Your model looks like DATA off Star Trek! Very impressive though, what lighting rig and shaders did you use for him? They look so soft and silky!

I am putting some info together for you guys about all the stuff.
Check back later tonight. :+1:

i will put on the aa half mode soon but i am still working on it. btw i like the fur stuff…i am experimenting with it now thanx!!

Oh wow! The strangest thing happened. I decided to try and create a monster despite the fact that they are not really my thing. But I haven’t missed a challenge yet so I wasn’t about to miss this one. I modelled the head from a regular sphere, textured it using Projection Master.

Anyhow this is just a work in progress got to get the rest of him done. Any comments would be appreciated.
