3D printing posing step?

Hi guys

I want to start with modelling for 3D printing but some things confuse me… when I start, I dynamesh the model to make it watertight (and to combine meshes together), sculpting details and everything… I wonder where in the whole process is the posing step? I can not pose a high res model, my PC wants to explode when I try that (500k polys).

If there is a tutorial that explains every step, I would appreciate a link or a description

You can approach this a couple different ways:

  1. Use Transpose Master to pose the tool and all of its subtools before you merge them:

  1. Duplicate your merged tool as a subtool, then use Zremesher to create a new poseable low poly base mesh, subdivide it to become a multi-subD level mesh, and project any lost high resolution detail back onto it, which you will then be able to pose at the lowest sub-d levels.

Thank you for the reply, this will help a lot! I will try that out!
