cool stonecutter, kind of a cross between amazing amazon women move poster and an old snap-on tools calendar.

    Ah Aminuts, you remember...
And just because nobody seems to be posting anything here, and just for fun, here's something extremely silly...

Well, here is an update on my guy (Not sure if he's still a ghoul, zombie, creature from the black lagoon, or alien?). I think that's what will be done for this week. At least in Zbrush anyway. Tommorrow I have to unwrap him in Maya for class. Then I'll be rigging later in the week for another class. He should be all painted with textures in about a week or so. I have learned a lot about Zbrush with this guy. I finally figured out how to mess with the UVs and still keep the hi res sculpting in Zbrush (I love Z) Plus I was able to get some displacement mapping working in Maya (after a lot of fiddling-even with all the tutorials in the forums), when I redo the UVs in Maya, I'll post a disp render. Anyway, here's my submissions: (Sorry about the lighting, I'm still learning Zbrush-that's my next tutorial...)

    Thanks,
    -Simon

121 feedback is welcome (I'm still learning)

    Default Gunslinger

Gunslinger is his name...comes from a sketch I made last week but have not scanned as of yet. Mutantish. Well he is still in wip phase but I think he fits the Mnc this time. Monster hands are stock as was the head. I got closer to my sketch than I thought I would, but there are still a few little things to tweak and add to him. No biggy definitely. Congrats to the other entrants in this weeks Mnc.

    1. Zsphere head
    2. Zsphere monster hand
    3. Sweep profile tooled hat
    4. Raw Zif body
    5. Belt- deformed torus
    6. Gun holster- deformed 3d cube
    7. front
    8. back

Here is the original concept sketch for this guy. So you see I still have a bit to go before total compliance to the sketch.

    Default disp and normal renders

Here are the normal map and disp renders. I think this will be it for this guy. He was a fun project and I learned a lot about Zbrush and Maya. I hope to have some more time to try the next challenge. You won't have to see this ugly guy again... Enjoy.
