Illustrator/vector lines (.svg or.ai) to Zbrush (2D to 3D)

Is there a way to import vector lines into Zbrush and then extrude/Qmesh out from the outlines? Either just onto the canvas or on a plane, or in the 2.5d space, etc? I saw an old thread asking the same question, but since it was from 2006, I thought the answers might have changed a bit in ten years (and better to create a new one instead of ressurecting a decade old thread). Thanks!

The most similar thing would be curves, but there isnt any import or export system for them. Apart of that I don’t think you can import lines in Zbrush, only polygons.

I don’t believe either format is supported. You could convert to black and white or grayscale then save as .psd or .jpg, load through the alphas menu, then click make 3D, or maybe use with shadowbox…
