    Default Heart engine

    Hi guys,

this is my latest work, on which i worked in my spare time. The idea was to create fantasy engine room with special power generator. For a shape of generator i chosse a human heart because the heart is generator which keep us alive as well as any other power generators. Picture also represents that the artist heart beats for CG. 90% of models in the scene were created in Zbrush. Guys from Pixologic did great job with Zmodeler which i use the most. Rendering and texturing i did in 3dsmax and small postproduction was made in AfterEffects. This is only a small part of bigger project that i am working on. In couple of days a will add more renders from engine room. I hope you enjoy it. I appreciate your CC.

This is awesome. Can you share any specific ZModeler techniques you found useful?

    Thank you gabo1991.
ZModeler is a powerful and effective modeling tool. When i am creating any kind of model i use Zmodeler as a base tool. Mostly i use 3 combinations of actions (fig.1). base mesh=qmesh; details=insert, inset; bridge=shape generator (just kidding but it works).

For example there was a lot of piping. I found the combination of Insert mesh with bridge action the most usefull when you want to creat specific shapes of piping (fig.2).

Wow!!!! One of the best things I've ever seen on this board! The concept is great, as well as the composition, lighting, silhouette, rendering, etc.. You really knocked this one out of the park!

You say you rendered this in 3DS Max, does that mean you used the scanline renderer? If so, you really squeezed ever drop of quality out of that thing.

Congratulations! Can't wait to see what you do next.
