Hi,
Created this ship using zmodeler brush as a low poly mesh to begin with.
Thanks to Paleo3D for helping to shape ideas.
Like they say...Two heads are better than one.
Cheers!

I love the creativity of Giger.
very nicely done
since MealeaYing's thread got a bit looong would you mind explaining your texturing process in short?
Hi Kryats,
Well in short...The detail is all displacement map with no rgb poly paint details. The texture map is a mask with transparency turned up to create holes. Then the detailed render to push up and down.Rendered with background on with floor shadows.
Oh also I made a duplicate of the body...Re-meshed to be less detailed then shrank a bit with inflate. Displaced with rigging alpha...rendered out separately. then reveled areas of it with PS. The beach is near my home.
Hope this helps.
Thnaks Lexxx69.
Just checked out your work.
So good!
Looks Real !!!
Looks Goooooood !!!
Amazing Mesh and Composition.
Thanx for sharing. ( Zero Saturation on the Material ? )
Thanks Bfgnz
Hey paleo3D,
Yep zero saturation on bpr filter.
Black and white appeals to me now and then.
Did you do the ground in Zbrush too? It looks like some of the rocks are, but the slope/hill too? Or is that some photoshop technique? I'd just like to learn what you did because it's f**ing amazing!
Just having a play.
Used background image in lighting to create multiple versions. snapshoting along the way.
Cheers.
Excellent technique.
Very convincing...
Hi,
I have been playing around with using z-spheres to create flowing pipe/exaust shapes. Heres a look which I have made which I think I will use more often.
A BEST render (Not a BPR)
Overlaid with a sketch shader 3 in PS.
The best render is good for making those nice aged pits.
You can also save out the shadows from your bpr render pass and overlay that in PS to beef things up if needed too.
Cheers the BFG.
Heres another one of the same model.
Cheers BFG
Heres a very Gigerish looking ship.
Rendered in Zbrush.
Absolutely brilliant!...Great renderings.
