Hi guys.

As a hobby artist I have been using Daz Studio for my render scenes for nearly 4 years now.

I just read in DAZ3D forum that they are giving Daz Studio 4 Pro and 2 other 3D programs for FREE.

This is really insane market strategy but anyway grab them while you can.

I was a bit surprised when I saw that as well. Regarding Hexagon, if you use a Mac especially with Lion OS then Hexagon will not work. OK on Win 7 but iffy on some Macs. Pre Lion, I think that's what is called, will work but there are bugs on both platforms. Although personally I use it, have done for many years.

Something similar happened to bryce, a few years earlier.
These apps may still work under certain OS setups.
But they are rather "dead" applications.

On the contrary, Moi is a modern fine app.
Blender, new experimental 'carve' build, is another good solution on booleans.
Unfortunately, no one cares to fix this limitation of sculptris. On handling more than 24 edges on a vertex. Zb can.

Daz Studio is Awsome so glad to see this ...... Since I got my new machine I've been playing with the free one a bit ..... You don't need to buy sh!# ... You can make your own clothes and Daz studio will fit them to Genesis for you ... with all the Morphs !!!! The Puppeteer panel makes animation easy. I haven't tried yet, but I read somewhere you can import your Blender rigged models in colada format ....

This may have already been mention in this thread but standing at 59 pages I don't have the time at the moment or the will to read them all. I did a search but didn't come up with any relevant titles.

I downloaded this little utility before Christmas and sometimes use it in my modeling program if I need to and it occurred to me that it might have a use in Sulptris; I am aware that it works in ZBrush and if it has already been covered v v Sculptris I will delete this entry.
