I have a license for the full working program however there is a tool that is similar with the rendering disabled. Very powerful yet free for games and noncommercial use.

I am talking about Softimage Mod Tool.

You can get a copy here:

Other that rendering you can use it to model and even export the models for games. So those making game characters can export them to Source,XNA, Unreal and a few other games.


You can also use the mod tool to export DAE (Collada format) for use with Flash and Papervision.

It can import OBJ and a couple of other formats. I do not rember and do not use the Mod tool as I have a full license.
