I really like your style, it’s very clean, much more emotion than sketch 2d.
Could you tell me the way you make hair style ? . Love it

Thank you very much, for the hair I basically sculpt it in zbrush, and later retopology drawing the edge loops exactly the way I want the hair lines to look like. Then i extract the separate hair pieces and add thickness to them to achieve the graphic style.

It’s almost hard to tell whether I’m looking at an illustration or 3d. I love it!

Thanks for explaining the hair. I thought it might be panel loops.

Great work here ! that is really nice.

HI DAVID!!

Wow, I love how super clean the wires are. It’s Art in itself.

Thank you for sharing !!

STEVE CAS

Welcome to ZBC! Very nice style to your work! :+1:

really nice & clean!

Thank you all!

wonderful sculpts, very clean, smooth and full of character! now if only they would make an animated Grand Budapest! loved that film!

Awesome character work!

oh wow…thanks for the top row, that means a lot!

Congrats on the top row!!! Nice style!

Hi your work rocks.

I d like to ask something, for future reference are these your designs ? Or do you apply designs to succesful animatable 3d models ? or both ?
Also, do you do freelance ?

Hi Mavinova,thank you!

I draw and model my own designs indeed, but last months I’ve been focusing on other artists ones. I find it fun and really interesting to translate these really cool drawings into cg animation feature style characters. And really glad some of the original artists loved them when I showed them the final models. The ones I shared here are based on original designs by Andrew Chesworth, Maxime Mary, Melissa Ballesteros, Amblin animation, Randy Bishop and Make studio ( as I pointed over every pic ). I work full time at the moment so can’t do any freelance now.Not much time for anything else else apart from breathing, sleeping and working. Thank you!

awesome models man!!
could you explain your process a bit?
do you start with a zbrush sketch and retopo over it or do you model right in maya/max?
congrats on the top row! you deserve it

Congratulations on Top Row!

Super clean topology and shading.

Do you mind if I ask, how you did your topology? Zspheres, external program etc?

Likewise for the renders and shaders?

If you have time, would you be able to demonstrate your workflow?

Kind Regards
