THU2015 Golden Ticket Challenge: The Tribe

Hi all, I have just discovered an exciting challenge that I think we should participate. Below is the detail

THU2015 Golden Ticket Challenge: The Tribe
Deadline: 4 March 2015 - 20 May 2015

Welcome to the Trojan Horse was a Unicorn 2015 Golden Ticket CG Challenge! Join the action for your chance to win fantastic prizes!
For 2015, the subject that your artwork will depict is the THU TRIBE.

The prize you’ll be battling for? A golden opportunity for the Grand Prize winner to visit THU2015 in Troia, Portugal, and accompany the guest artists throughout the festival! This incredible opportunity includes:

  • A 5-day all-access Golden Ticket to THU2015 worth $560!
  • Return flights to Lisbon with TAP Portugal – worth up to $1000!
  • 5-star hotel accommodation worth $800!
  • Car and ferry transport from Lisbon to Troia and back. We’ve got you covered!

As the winner of the Golden Ticket, you’ll have chance to enjoy the full THU2015 schedule, mingle with your peers, meet your heroes, and dose up on all the inspiration you could possibly need for a year of art-making! We also have heaps of prizes generously donated by our competition sponsors, including V-Ray licenses, ZBrush licenses, Substance Indie packs, CG Art Gloves, anatomical reference figures, beautiful books, plus more treats and goodies for the Grand Prize winner and 2 runners up!

Why ‘THU Tribe’? In 2013 we had the ‘Friend or Foe’ Challenge, and in 2014 we challenged you to design a THU Warrior. This year, it’s all about The Tribe! Artists are challenged to create a digital image that depicts the theme of the ‘THU Tribe’. The challenge is open to both 2D and 3D digital image submissions. Artwork can be a character, a set of characters, a landscape, or even abstract. Winners will be asked to submit their images at full resolution to the THU team, so be sure to create your images at print resolution (300dpi).

How to submit: After joining the challenge, simply upload your final entries using the ‘UPLOAD ENTRY’ button provided along with at least 3 work-in-progress (WIP) images; artists are also encouraged to join the THU CG Challenge Facebook Group to chat with fellow competitors and share links to their CGSociety Entries. Entrants have until 23:59 Western European Time Zone (UTC+00:00) of 20 May 2015 to submit final works and accompanying WIP images. Follow the links on the right of this page. Please read through the FAQ section before submitting any questions.
Want to render better? Challenge sponsor Chaos Group is providing access to V-Ray for all participants! Access will be limited to the duration of the challenge. Simply email thu@chaosgroup.com to receive your unique promo code, and then enter your code in the activation form page.

Don’t be shy! Please ask questions in the support thread and in the THU CG Challenge Facebook Group. Sharing is all part of the THU philosophy! So don’t hide your process only to post everything in the last few days – that’s not in the THU spirit! Post your ideas, post often, and comment on everyone else’s. Join in and have fun!
Be sure to read the Terms & Conditions before starting your entry (see right).
Best of luck to all participants!
