What is the best way to combine several parts into one mesh?
Some people would say merge with Dynamesh. Transpose Master will generate a low res combined mesh.
The best way is the way that works best for your needs

You’re welcome. There’s always the rebuild in one piece method instead ZSphere armatures and adaptive skin can get you a shape blocked in quite fast, plus you still have the armature to use for posing later and or to modify and create other forms from.
Shadowbox is another good tool. Sketching directly on the Canvas and creating Alpha/ making 3D is a possibility. Workflow is tied to UI is tied to workflow. I posted some files
