Video Art Dump - Warmachine Tactics - Characters (movie/tutorial Pg2/Pg3)

Video Notes and Resources added on page 2 and page 3

Hi there fellow artists ,here are some of the characters done for Warmachine Tactics - www.warmachinetactics.com . The game was launched a few weeks back, and now we can share some of our work with you.

It was a pleasure to work on the project, and found the character concepts and visual style quite interesting and appealing.

    We hope you'll enjoy this.

Some renders are made in Zbrush with BPR, some in Marmoset and some in Maya with Mental Ray. They were made at different times so we used what was most convenient at that moment.
For my renders i try to get a good lighting setup, with a good balance between light and dark, and i make sure the lights cast shadows that describe the volumes as best as possible( and don't fight with each other ). I used Mental Ray because i had some previous experience and it was the quickest to get a good result at the time. I also used render layers to get some additional control over the final render. Hope it helps.
