What?

Are you asking if you can get depth information from an image?

G’Day beta_channel I would like turn a photo into a grayscale like in the video or like this picture 2.png I"m not sure what you call them I thought they Called Alphas

That is an alpha, but you’re trying to get depth information from a photo, which you can’t do.

Ok is there a easy way to maybe model the photo so you can get the Alpha:confused:

 Hi All Come on I’m sure there is more help out there I know you can do it LOL Thank you Ted;)

From a single photo there is no “easy way” to model something. From a series of photos you could use 123D Catch from Autodesk. Its a free app. Here is a link http://www.123dapp.com/catch That app will give you a 3D model of an object. This is not a push button solution but it can get you to a point where you can clean up and detail the generated model then pull an alpha.

Also this thread on ZBC has examples of the process http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?139382-Tutorial-Generating-quick-game-geometry-from-simple-photographs!&highlight=123D+Catch
