The link contains 2 version at the moment:
2015 (Mac 64-bit)
2015 (Windows 64-bit)
2014 (Windows 64-bit)

If other versions are needed, tell me in the comments.

If you like it and use it commercially, give it a shout out or something

yes Windows PLEASE! I would love to test render this with one of my projects!

I updated the plugin with a 2014 (Windows 64-bit) version in the link. Feel free to give it a try.

Thank you so much sir! I’ll report back in a few.

Dang I was thinking that the 2014 compile will still work in Maya 2015, but it doesn’t. Thanks for the effort, are you able to compile for 2015?

Added win 2015(x64)

what about adding script for maya 2012 x64?

I meant to swing back buy and thank you … So THANKS so much! :D:+1:

Thank you!

I’ll look into it!

Tested with Vray, it works !! Well done sir, thanks for sharing

Brillant idea…but in win how do you install the plugin in maya…where put the file? I newbe in maya…:o

how do i get this to render, either with maya software render or mentalray for maya?

You can render it in V-ray, Mental-Ray, Arnold and any other software that supports vertex color. The setup is quite simple.

Under V-ray there should be a node called VRayVertexColors. You’ll need to use the “Connection editor” to connect a mesh’s “colorSet[index].colorName” plug to the “colorSet” plug of the vertex color texture. From then on you can plug that anywhere that accepts color like diffuse etc.
Under Mental ray it’s the mentalrayVertexColors node. The documentation says you have to connect the output of the color set (colorSet[n].colorName) to the cpvSets input on the mentalrayVertexColors node.
For Arnold I think its just ticking a checkbox.

The download link seems to be broken ?

link down :frowning:

wow any version for maya 2016? thx

There is, you can find an updated version on his Gumroad at a “pay whatever you want price”.
It also includes the source code, so you can compile for future Maya versions yourself if need be!

(Sorry if linking this breaks a forum rule, this feels like a bit of a gray area.)

Great!, thank you for the link!
