Very nice, great character in those faces.
A younger Leonard Nimoy from the Star Trek pilot episode
‘The Cage’
It needs some final adjustments and texturing.
Hi Jim. excellent likenesses! I’m especially impressed that you managed to distinctly capture the youthfulness of Nimoy as seen in The Cage, as opposed to his more mature look in the rest of the series. Hope to seem more classic TV (and movie!?) characters from you. Keep up the good work!
Edit–Ha! I just perused your site…and here’s me encouraging you to keep up the good work
Love the Col. Hogan. Very nice work.
Welcome to ZBC! Your work, as Mr. Spock would say, is “fascinating.”
Thanks for the comments guys. This is a Trent Reznor head i did a while back for a client.
welcome aboard jim!
great stuff here. looking forward for more from you.

Nice likenesses.
Here are the rest of the Hogan’s Heroes wips. Now that i have the group
roughed in I will be going back and forth between them all to wrap them up.
Thanks for looking,
Wow! Your likenesses are spot on. Good job! small_orange_diamond
Thanks all for the kind words.
Your likenesses really are great. I especially like the Reznor one.
Would you mind telling us about how you achieve a likeness? I’ve been trying to do a likeness sculpt recently and have been unsuccessful. Any tips or techniques you could share would be very helpful.
Cheers!
to cdizzle,
some of the main things I like to do are
keep your forms simple and leave the detail until you have
a solid likeness taking shape.
as you work keep it fairly loose and don’t get too attached to your work
if its not working don’t be afraid to start over.
keep your mesh as low resolution as you can for as long as you can
use reference
take screen caps if you need to get those odd and uncommon angles of your subject
study the lighting in your reference and try to match that on your piece so you can see the plane changes
on the surface
these are things that work for me, your mileage may vary

Darth Maul for 1/6 scale
nice Maul, where can I get one?
Thanks for the reply. Sweet Maul!
Very nicely done on the Darth Maul, I can tell you put some thought into this sculpt. My only suggestion is to try and pin back the corner of the mouth.
