    Default Plants in Sculptris!

    Hello to all!

I have noticed here in this forum and ZBrush, many artists are
seeking a way of sculpting plants with greater versatility or looking
any tutorial explaining how to make them look natural.

I have started a study late last year to build plants in a more
    quickly and easily be textured.
Sculptris along with the GoZ plugin, is a great alternative to UV Master in ZBrush
allowing generate better maps and easier to paint the leaves, etc..
Sculptris creates meshes with many pieces and with the mesh trianguar in some software
After rendering, it can be seen, the surface of the mesh seams, but with the GoZ,
You may, after modeling your plan with greater detail and use ZREmesher (Adaptive Density).

Then in Zplugin, UV Master, I usually go directly to Unwrap "symmetry"
and "Polygroups" linked. Is often enough to create a good UVMap.
Depending on how to set up your plant, for example; with foliage modeled separately from the branches,
usually i ship ZBrush, and Sub Tool, create UV maps for each item and export to OBJ.

In Sculptris, importing, choose one of the items, foliage or twigs and start texturing.
Save the project ready and do the same with the next, then just assemble the sheets together with twigs.
Generally I like to do it in Cinema 4D or Daz Studio, because the objects are already in position.

Well, here is just a hint, perhaps confusing to anyone who is looking for a way to model plants.
I'm sorry you can not create a tutorial to explain better, my english is bad and I speak Portuguese.
My intention was to try to show that it is pssível and there are many alternatives to a good result.

Thanks to dedicated a tepo to read my post!

    Best regards!

Below are some examples of plants that I created with Sculptris / ZBrush.

    Hello!
    I again!
Added some examples of a very useful technique that I use to create
a foundation for the plant as the Branch with leaves!

1 - You need a texture of foliage as the example below with good resolution to start 2048 is enough for this technique.
2 - You will need a good vectorizer as CorelDraw, which will create a vector
    that will become a shape!
3 - The best way is to vectorize an image atravéz alpha and export of foliage
to the format (AI) Adobe Illustrator version 8.8.
If you are using Cinema 4D like me, just open the vectorized file that will open the file as a shape.
4 - Use the Extrude NURBS to generate a solid geometry and then immediately convert the
geometry to editable, delete one of the faces, usually Chamdo Cap 1 and Cap 2 in Cinema 4D, tant let only one of them, the rest should be deleted.
5 - Create a UV this geometry, in this case, one-side planar mapping Aligment Axis - Z
Waterproof Map see the image created
6 - Colorful texture should fit properly using photoshop
    and the UV Map generated.
7 - Import geometry in ZBrush, make some deformed leaves that mimic
gravity, something that will make them real.
8 - Add a ZSphere to create the branch, (see images), create some details
needed and then just generate the UV Map with UV Master.
9 - Set up the foliage with branch needed and export your plan for your
    preferred software.

    Hope it helped on something!

    My greetings to all!

    Hello!

Here is another model made in Sculptris and with the same technique
    brief tutorial as above.
Rendering the model in Daz Studio, with textures, diffuse, bump,
    Displacement and specular map.

    My best regards!

    Hey Gen
I think these are wonderful. The forum is slow these days as I seem to keep reminding people. One of the reasons it is slow is people aren't replying to threads and intercommunicating. Don't stop posting but do take the time to look at newcomers and old timers threads. I am sure they would appreciate the feedback. It would be nice to see this forum pick back up

    Hello to all!
Here are other plants and trees created with Ztree plugin "Dargelos"
and Sculptris! Plants modeled in Sculptris, have leaves with solid geometry, ie has no images Alpha, which streamlines the rendering too!
The greenery give more work, because I need to create the UV and then put them
one by one, and manually modifying the shape of each leaf to give a natural appearance without appearing cloning. Regarding Fibermesh,
greatly facilitates inserting the foliage, especially with the new fibermeshs of "Dargelos" (Thank you)!

As for UVmapp, I prefer to create the "UV Master" ZBrush, much easier during the application of textures with minimal distortion!

    Thanks for looking!

Gen you rock lol Beautiful examples and work and great use of the combination of Zbrush and Sculptris. I prefer to concept in Sculptris and GoZ to Zbrush for clean up and texturing also. Well done man
