Default BA-Thesis ZScript//////// Creating Masks for dDo, Quixel Suite and Compositing

    Latest Update:

    Hey there,

i'm currently studying 3D Art & Animation and i'm doing my BA-Thesis about optimizing the Workflow of creating these Masks for dDo and the Quixel Suite.

Since my Research Method is Action Research, I created a first Version of my final Plugin.

The ZScript assigns a different Color to each Subtool so you can easily bake the High-Poly's Vertex Colors with xNormal.

This is the link to the script:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/u6918bvp2s...m_Fill_All.zsc

Would be awesome if you could download it, test it and just quickly answer this survey:
    https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1cME...?usp=send_form

Thank you so much in advance!

P.S. To install the Plugin, paste it in C:\Program Files\Pixologic\ZBrush 4R6\ZStartup\ZPlugs and then start ZBrush. Under the ZPlugin Tab you should find "MaskPlug" which contains 1 Button.

Thanks a lot, very good idea !!!

One feature you could add which would be wonderful : An option to make only masks pure red, green or blue, so in compositing you could just use the channel as a matte, like in true compositing. (So the plug should proceed making one texture for each series of 3 tools).

I will try it very soon !!!
ZAdjustor Plugin for ZBrush : adjust Draw Size, Focal Shift and Z/RGB Intensity by simply moving your mouse/stylus while holding down a hotkey, just like in photoshop, mudbox, mari, maya... Many options.
    ZAdjustor0.92 for ZBrush 4R7/4R6 32bits OsX - (OSx version for ZB4R7 64bits coming soon)
