    Default Syn - Dark elf

Hello guys! I have enjoyed countless of pieces from the amazing artists out here. It's time now to make my own contribution to these forums!

This is the final project of my Bachelor degree at Centre NAD, in Montreal. I wanted to create a character that was both beautiful and intimidating/scary at the same time. I focused my attention on body and facial anatomy, and on zbrush workflow for armor creation. Concept was done by me while modeling.

To see more images of the project, have a look at my portfolio : https//pharrisgenois.wix.com/portfolio

Software used : Zbrush, Mudbox, Softimage, Arnold

Music by : Immediate Music - Avenging Angel

    thanks to Gabriel T. Beauvais

    Cheers!,

I also Invite you to check the presentation video!

Very nice..good work. Can you explain your workflow to pass from zbrush to Softimage ? Export with displacement maps, or just decimated for somes parts ? and for the posing you do it in zbrush or softimage ? Thk u.

    hey thanks again guys!

@cedcrx, to go back and forth from softimage to zbrush, the best method is with the plugin GoZ. its pretty easy to use, you just have to make sure your transforms are frozen before going back to zbrush to keep the objets aligned. For final render i just decimated my whole mesh, I didnt worry to much about it because I knew it was going to be animated. For the posing I used Transpose Master in Zbrush, it went REALLY well, very. It comes very handy when you have a lot of subtools (I had like 100 at one point) and you can save the pose in a layer on REC mode, you can then toggle on/off the pose to go back in symmetry, etc.

more workflow comming soon, stay tuned

Thk for the tips. I know the transpose method.but i don't know how you can save the posing in layer. And also if you go back to symmetry pose, how can you sculpt the model because of the layer block the model?
    (Sorry for my english)

This is very impressive. I love all of the fine cloth detail and the tattered edges. Looking forward to your workflow tips my friend.
